where can i use it?
Indoor use only. AFM polyureseal bp can be applied to wood, metal, concrete, furniture, cabinetry, and display fixtures. This product is also excellent for gym floors and auditoriums.
how much do i need?
One gallon covers approximately 300-400 square feet in one coat, depending on method of application and surface porosity.
how do i install or apply it?
- Always have good ventilation.
- Apply test patches before undertaking large areas to assure good adhesion. Avoid applying coatings when air or surface temperature is below 55°F or when heavy fog or rain is imminent. Stir thoroughly before use.
- Do not shake; it causes bubbles. Pour Polyureseal BP into another container before applying to avoid contaminating main container.
- No thinning is required, but Polyureseal BP may be thinned with up to 5 percent water by volume.
- Over-thinning may cause loss of gloss and impair product performance.
Use a quality nylon brush, pad applicator, or a spray applicator.
Brush or pad: Apply liberally, keeping a good wet edge and avoiding over brushing. Do not puddle material on floors. Avoid working back into areas that have started to dry.
Spray: Apply thin, even coats rather than heavy coats, which will tend to sag. If sprayer begins to dry-spray, reduce air pressure and increase material flow. Choose unheated spray applicators over those that heat material. Use a .015 tip or smaller.
Drying
Under normal conditions, Polyureseal BP will dry to the touch in an hour. It is sandable after 2-4 hours and is recoatable in 4-8 hours. It continues to harden and cure over time. Avoid traffic on any surface it is applied on for at least 24 hours after application.
Normal conditions include a dry surface, access to fresh airflow, moderate humidity and temperatures around 70°F. Thicker applications or higher humidity can cause Polyureseal BP to dry more slowly.
how do i maintain it?
Periodically clean with water or a non-volatile all purpose cleaner with a damp mop or wipe.
